As a graduate of Columbia University, with a degree in Financial Economics, Michael takes an investment-oriented approach to real estate. Michael co-founded the real estate investment and development firm Kaufman Development Group, which owns and operates over 300,000 square feet of commercial buildings and over 1,000 acres of residential and hospitality properties. Michael also founded The Wick co-working properties in Historic Downtown Brunswick and Situs Real Estate. Michael has extensive experience in commercial and residential real estate investment, development, and property management, as well as single-family residential sales.
Michael enjoys giving back to his community in many ways, including by serving on the boards of the following organizations: Coastal Coalition for Children (Vice President), City of Brunswick Downtown Development Authority (Treasurer), Golden Isles Chamber of Commerce, Safe Harbor Center, and the College of Coastal Georgia Foundation. Michael is the proud recipient of the Brunswick-Golden Isles Chamber of Commerce’s 2020-2021 Milton H. “Woody” Woodside Community Champion Award.
Since entering the brokerage side of the real estate industry, Michael has gained unique experience by representing buyers and sellers for a variety of property types ranging from luxury homes on Sea Island and St. Simons Island to commercial properties including shopping centers, office complexes, and development land throughout the Southeast. Michael’s detailed approach to real estate provides buyers and sellers with an expert on their side to ensure every transaction is handled professionally and with ease.
Michael is a devout family man who loves spending time with his family of four. In his free time, he’s also an avid golfer and squash player. He also enjoys travelling and exploring the many hidden gems around the Golden Isles.

As a second-generation realtor with a keen eye for envisioning the potential of homes, CC cuts through the noise of real estate. Her foundation in real estate began in high school when her single mother of two founded a real estate brokerage business in Ocilla, Georgia, enabling her to learn the ins and outs of the industry while ingraining a true passion for all aspects of buying and selling real estate. Since then, she's had the pleasure of assisting homebuyers, landowners and even commercial investors in numerous real estate transactions.
Upon graduating from The University of Georgia in 2012 with a degree in public relations, she and her husband, Jake, hopped from Atlanta to Austin then to West Texas. Once they welcomed their first child, they knew it was time to move back home to Georgia to settle down and plant roots permanently. Having grown up in a small South Georgia town and vacationing in the Golden Isles over the years, it was an easy decision to make the move to St. Simons in 2018. CC and Jake were particularly drawn to the area because of the friendly people and the strong sense of community—making it a perfect place to raise a family.
It’s said that people do business with people they like, and CC’s warm personality makes you feel like you’ve known her for years. Her marketing background, attention to detail and dedication to each client lay the foundation for her to sell each piece of real estate for the best price possible, as quickly as possible, and as smoothly as possible. Born and raised in Florida, Elizabeth McLauchlin brings both heart and hustle to her role at Situs Real Estate. A former collegiate volleyball player at Western Carolina University, she graduated with a degree in Business and carries that same competitive spirit and discipline into her real estate career.
Elizabeth now proudly calls the Golden Isles home, where she lives with her husband, her two stepdaughters—Gabi and Audri—and their four-legged family members, Montana and Jerry. She is an active volunteer with the Humane Society of South Coastal Georgia and also volunteers on the Development Committee for Safe Harbor.
In 2025, Elizabeth and her husband Daren were named Champions for Children, helping Safe Harbor raise over $500,000—a moment that reignited her love of healthy competition and community impact.
Outside of real estate, Elizabeth enjoys gardening, baking when time allows, and supporting local businesses. You can often find her at favorite local spots like Dolce Dough for breakfast or Georgia Sea Grill for dinner. Her favorite holiday is Thanksgiving, a reflection of her love for family, food, and gratitude.
In her work, Elizabeth’s greatest joy comes from connecting buyers with the perfect property and staying in touch long after closing. Her informative approach, paired with her own personal experience buying and selling homes, allows her to truly elevate the experience for her clients. She believes deeply in forming authentic relationships and helping others discover the place that feels like home.
